  • York Civic Youth Choir

    Mon 11 Feb 2019

The York Civic Youth Choir have once again been invited by St Leonard's Hospice to perform for them at one of their fundraising events.

"Lights on the Lake" in Rowntree Park will take place on Wednesday 20th March at 6.30pm. This is a new event for 2019, there will be a short service (similar to "Light up a Life" at Christmas) followed by lanterns being floated on the Lake in Rowntree Park.

The plan is to light the way  to the lake with a lantern procession to the lake and the choir have been invited to lead the procession with lanterns and then sing some songs before the lanterns are floated.

We would love for as many of the member of the choir old and new to be involved with this as it promises to be a really magical event. We will be having ONE rehearsal only on Saturday 16th March from 10am-3:30pm at St Aelred's School, including an informal performance for parents and family at 3:15pm.

Please sign up below to take part.

We have been informed that the Tesco School Uniform Embroidery service will close on 12 February 2019.

Tesco’s current supplier has set up an alternative service called My Clothing. We have been assured that they’ll offer the same great value service as well as support our school through its donation scheme.

You will be able to place orders with Tesco up until 11th February 2019. After this date you may purchase uniform via MyClothing website (https://myclothing.com/ ) to be delivered to your home address or from Price & Buckland (via the School Office).
