Visiting Author and Book Orders
Wed 17 Apr 2024Please find below a copy of hard letter sent out with pupils on Tuesday 16th April.
As this payment is for an external supplier I can confirm that payment should be made in cash. The cash should be placed in a sealed envelope together with the order form- your child's name, teachers name and class must be clearly written on the front of the envelope. We will not be able to accept any other form of payment and will not accept loose cash/ orders.

NHS Dentist spaces for children

At Hopkins and Poyner Dental practice, we are pleased to have received a new contract that has opened up many NHS spaces for children up to 18 years old. There is an unfortunate shortage of NHS dentists in the area, so we hope this will help children in our community, to gain access to free dental care.
We are a local dental practice by the Guy Fawkes Inn, in York.
Please find attached a registration form if you wish to register your child- they need to be returned by email to: tco@hopkinsandpoyner.com

Individual & Siblings Photographs- Proofs & Ordering
Tue 27 Feb 2024Proofs of individual and siblings photos will be sent home in school bags by the end of the week, with details of how to place an online order. We hope you are pleased with them.
Orders must be placed by Wednesday 13th March if you wish to have the photos delivered free of charge to school. After this date a delivery charge will be applied to orders. All orders must be made online, we cannot accept any orders in the school office.

Parents Consultation Evenings w/c 11th March
Mon 26 Feb 2024Parent consultations will be held during w/c 11th March.
We will be offering 10-minute face-to-face appointments for parents’ consultations. To organise these, we will be using the online booking system via Primary Site, our website & email provider.
- Monday 11th March- Class 3/4P appointments available
- Tuesday 12th March- all classes (except Class 3/4P) after school appointments available
- Wednesday 13th March- Class 2P, 3/4P & 5B after school appointments available
- Thursday 14th March- ALL classes after school appointments available
The appointments will take place in your child’s classroom and entry to school will be via the main school entrance doors.
How will it work?
At midday on Monday 26th February, an automatic email will be sent to all parents/ carers who are the priority 1 contact for each pupil. It will invite them to book a 10-minute slot on their preferred date- once booked that slot will disappear off a list to ensure there is no double booking. There is also an option for parents to say if they are unable to attend on the dates given.
‘Help, I can’t access the online system!’
If any parent/ carer cannot complete the process electronically the office staff will be able to book a slot manually. Please contact the office on 01904 552225 after 9:30am on Tuesday 27th February to discuss available slots.
Bookings will close at 5pm on Tuesday 5th March.
Please help us by:
• Attending at the scheduled time of the appointment
• Being respectful of other people’s appointments and keeping to 10 minutes

York Theatre Royal Competition- closing date 19th January
Mon 15 Jan 2024Please see the attached competition that your child may wish to enter. The prize is two tickets to see Disney's Little Mermaid at the York Theatre Royal. Any entries can be sent to the main office via class teachers by no later than Friday, 19th January.
