• Parent Governor Elections

  We have a vacancy for 1 parent governor within school. Please see the http://www.wiggintonprimary.co.uk/other-whole-school-letters/ section of the website for more information. A letter is being sent home via pupils bags on 30th November.

• Christmas Present Room – FRIDAY 2nd December 2016

  The Christmas Present Room will be running on Friday 2^nd December

   straight after school (3.05pm-4pm) in the school hall. The Christmas Present

  room is a lovely opportunity for children to come and buy a small gift for Mum/Dad or maybe Grandma/Grandpa in secret and bring it home already wrapped with their special message on for them to hide until Christmas Day. In previous years this has proved to be a lovely event and we know how excited some of the children already are about coming and choosing a gift on their own. The event is arranged and run by members of the PTA who will be there to help your child choose a gift and write a special tag. There will be a variety of small gifts for sale ranging from £1.50 to £5 so children are invited to bring some money into school with them in a purse or wallet ready to visit the Christmas Present Room on this day.

   

  Children in Reception Class will have an opportunity to visit the event before the rest of the school during the afternoon; the class teacher will be there to help them as well as the PTA volunteers.

• School Book Fair November 2016

  Autumn Book Fair 2016

   

  We are pleased to welcome back the Travelling Books book fair to school from: Tuesday 15^th November to Monday 21st  November from 3.15 – 3.45 each afternoon in the school library. Please note on Wed 16 November the book fair will not be open straight after school, but from 6-7:30pm during Parent Consultations.

   

  As well as promoting a love of reading, it is an opportunity for us to acquire new books for our school library and each class’ reading corner with the commission earned from all of the sales.

   

  The fair contains a range of books as shown in the leaflet. However if you are unable to attend the book fair in person you can use the web based Click and Collect service at www.travellingbooks.co.uk which allows you to choose books at home, pay online and have your books delivered to school.

   

  We look forward to seeing you at the fair.

• **PTA Christmas Card Project UPDATE**

  Due to continuing problems with online ordering of the cards. The Company (APFS Ltd) has asked us to place no more orders online, but revert to paper orders & cheque/ cash payment.

   

  A NEW ORDER FORM will be sent home with your child as soon as we receive them from APFS Ltd.

   

  If you have been able to order online please ignore the new order form; your online order will be processed. Just ensure the Art Work is returned to school by the morning of Tuesday 8th November.

   

  However, if you have NOT placed your order please complete the new order form and send it into school with the Art Work & payment (Cheques payable to 'Wigginton Primary School PTA') by morning of Tuesday 8th November.
