  • Support your National Elf Service this December

    Wed 25 Nov 2020

This is a festive fundraising initiative by York Teaching Hospital Charity. With your help they can fund the extras to improve your healthcare facilities above and beyond the NHS making patients feel better.  They support staff in our hospitals to make the hospital experience the best it can be for all who visit and stay there.

Last Christmas we raised money using a collection box at each of the class Christmas performances. Even though we are unable to have our traditional performances, as a school, we would still like to support this worthwhile charity.

If you would like to make a donation to the charity you will be able to donate via your school ParentPay account from 1st December until 25th December 2020. http://www.parentpay.com

If you have any queries about the charity or for want more information, you can contact the fundraising team on charity.fundraising@york.nhs.uk or call them on 01904 724521.

  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SCHOOL DINNERS ON TUESDAY 3rd NOVEMBER

    Mon 02 Nov 2020

    Dear Parents/ Carers,

Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you for sending your child into school with a pack-up for lunch today. Every single child brought a pack-up into school which was a massive help to us.

I have now had confirmation that the catering company are able to provide staffing cover from Wednesday 4th November and we will be able to re-start school dinners from this date. Therefore, could I ask that you provide your child with packed lunch again tomorrow, Tuesday 3rd November.

If you are unable to provide a packed lunch for your child please contact the school office by emailing mrsboyle@wiggintonprimary.co.uk or call the school office after 8:30am tomorrow morning. We will make arrangements for them to be provided with a sandwich, fruit, cake/ biscuit and water to drink.

Again many thanks for your co-operation and understanding.

    Yours faithfully,

    Paul Laycock

    Headteacher
