KS1 SATs (Year 2)

In previous years at the end of KS1 all children (Y2 pupils) who are working within the KS1 curriculum have been required to undertake statutory tests in reading and maths. Although this is no longer a statutory requirement from this year we will still conduct these tests informally. They will take place throughout the month of June. These tests are informal and take place within their class.

These tests form only part of our end of year judgements along with work that we have done throughout the year.

Phonics Screening Check Information Meeting - Tuesday 6th May

We will be holding a phonics screening check information meeting for parents/ carers on Tuesday 6th May at 2:30pm in Mrs Fox's classroom.

This is a chance for Year 1 parents and parents of children in Year 2 who did not achieve the expected score in the check in Year 1, to find out about what is involved in the phonics screening check which will be held during the month of June. There will be opportunity to ask questions to teachers and find out how you can support your child at home.

We would be delighted if you could join us but appreciate not all parents/ carers will be available to attend and therefore will be sending home a hard copy of the information provided at the meeting, after the event.
